LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Wellesley College softball junior
Jill Colgan (Las Vegas, Nev.) has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Region II All-Region Third Team. Colgan is the first member of the Blue to make an All-Region Team since 2019.
The junior recently made the NEWMAC Second Team All-Conference following a successful season. Colgan batted .392 with 16 RBIs and eight doubles this season. In the circle, she threw 89.2 innings, racking up seven wins, 46 strikeouts and a 2.42 ERA.
Established in 1983, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) is the professional growth organization for fastpitch softball coaches from all competitive levels of play. Although collegiate coaches comprised the majority of the organization's membership in the early days, today they are joined by high school, travel ball, professional and international coaches, along with umpires, clubs, companies and fans of fastpitch softball. Growing from 40 members in 1983 to over 7,000Â today, the NFCA boasts members from all 50 states and several international countries.
