    WELLESLEY, Mass.-- Wellesley College field hockey dropped a 6-1 non-conference game against the University of New England on Sunday afternoon at the Wellesley Fields Complex. Wellesley is now 3-3 overall, while UNE improves to 2-4 on the season.

    Julia King, Head Field Hockey Coach and PERA Assistant Professor of the Practice at Wellesley College has announced the hiring of Morgan Kelley as the Blue's Goalkeeper Coach for the 2018 season. Kelley joined the team earlier this week.

  • Wellesley Field Hockey Garners 2017 Academic Honors from NFHCA

    The Wellesley College field hockey program has received a 2017 Zag Field Hockey / NFHCA Division III National Academic Team Award, recognizing the team’s collective academic achievement during the fall 2017 season. In addition, six members of the Blue field hockey team have been named to the 2017 Zag Field Hockey / NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad.

    The 2017 Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III All-Region teams were announced on Wednesday and Wellesley College field hockey senior Emmy Hamilton (New York, N.Y.) has been named to the New England East Region First Team. In addition, junior Arielle Mitropoulos (Cambridge, Mass.) has been named to the All-Region Second Team.

    The New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced the 2017 Field Hockey All-Conference team on Tuesday and Wellesley College senior Emmy Hamilton (New York, N.Y.) and junior Arielle Mitropoulos (Cambridge, Mass.) have each earned All-Conference recognition. Hamilton was named to the All-Conference first team, while Mitropoulos earned a place on the All-Conference second team.

    Wellesley College field hockey junior Arielle Mitropoulos (Cambridge, Mass.) has been selected as the Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Offensive Player of the Week for competition from Oct. 23-29, it was announced on Wednesday.

    Wellesley College field hockey senior Emmy Hamilton (New York, N.Y.) has been selected to play in the 2017 Victory Sports Tours/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Senior Game. The game will take place on Saturday, November 18, at 5:00 PM at Bellarmine University. In all, 60 student-athletes, were selected to participate in the game, while 12 were picked as alternates.
