Wellesley Crew Earns Top-Ten Time at Head Of The Charles Regatta

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College crew raced to a top-ten time in the Women's Collegiate 8+ event at the 54th Annual Head Of The Charles Regatta (HOCR) on Sunday on the Charles River in Boston. Founded in 1965, the HOCR is a two-day rowing event featuring many of the top rowers, teams and clubs from around the world. 

Wellesley A, stroked by senior Emilia Ball (Albany, N.Y.), finished with a time of 19:26.915 to take tenth and earn the Blue a spot in the top-ten in the event for the eighth time in the last nine seasons. Wellesley B, stroked by sophomore Beatrice Grauman-Boss (Friday Harbor, Wash.) took 17th with a time of 19:59.002. 

The Blue return to the Charles River next Sunday to host the Seven Sisters Championship Regatta on Sunday, October 28, at 10:00 AM.
