WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College lacrosse junior Nikki Sharkin (Summit, N.J.) has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Lacrosse Co-Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending April 24th, 2016.
Wellesley junior Nikki Sharkin scored six goals in two games to lead Wellesley to a 2-0 NEWMAC record this week. Sharkin netted four goals in a 10-6 victory over Emerson on Wednesday. She then scored a pair of goals in Wellesley's 12-11 OT victory over Mount Holyoke. Sharkin who also had four draw controls, four ground balls and two caused turnovers this week, now leads the Blue with 40 goals on the season.
The Blue lacrosse team will close out the NEWMAC regular season on Wednesday afternoon, April 27, with a 4:00 PM contest at Wheaton.
