WELLESLEY, Mass. – The Wellesley College
squash team dropped a 9-0 dual meet decision to rival Tufts
Universityon Thursday evening at Dana Hall School in Wellesley.
The bright spot in the match was a five-game loss from
senior Jess Whitely (Yeadon, MA) playing
in the eighth spot. Whitley dropped her first two games to Sairah
Mahmud with close scores of 11-9 and 11-7. In the third game, she
came from behind to take a 14-12 victory and then dominated the
fourth game 11-3 to tie the game at 2-2. In the deciding fifth
game, Whitley dropped a tight 11-7 decision.
Wellesley returns to action this weekend at the Wesleyan Round
Robin.
