BELMONT, Mass. -- The #27 Wellesley College squash team dropped a tough 5-4 decision at #23 Tufts on Thursday evening at the Belmont School.
The win is the second in a row for Tufts, which improved to a 5-4 record overall. The Blue now fall to 4-14 overall. It is the second win of the season for Tufts against Wellesley, including a 6-3 match played on December 2.
Wellesley once again got a win at the very top of the ladder, as first-year Rosemary O'Connor picked up a three-game win over Alix Michael. O'Connor was a 12-10, 11-1, 11-4 winner.
Other Blue victories came from Jen Hsu at seven (11-7, 10-12, 11-4, 11-8), Haley Vasquez at eight (3-11, 11-7, 11-9, 11-9) and from Charlene Lee in the ninth spot (12-10, 11-7, 11-9).
Wellesley is back in action on Saturday, competing at the Smith Invitational.
