NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Wellesley track continued its record-setting season on Saturday, this time at the D-III ECAC Championships in New York, NY.  The Blue came away with three medalists, three school records, and the program's first-ever ECAC indoor track champion, Leah Clement.  Adiba Manning and Camille Basurto also medaled for the Blue as Wellesley totaled 16 points, good for 20th out of 47 teams.

Manning got the Blue off to a strong start, capturing sixth in the 500m in a school record time of 1:18.75 (video), surpassing her personal best by more than two seconds. Cristina Lucas followed with a solid showing in the mile, taking 13th overall in 5:08.04 (video).

Clement then claimed Wellesley's first ECAC indoor title with a blistering 2:54.48 in the 1000m (video).  Her time, a personal best, chopped four seconds off the school record and was less than one second off the meet record.  

Basurto capped off the scoring for the Blue with a sixth-place finish in the 3000, eclipsing her PR with a time of 10:28.72 (video).  

Wellesley closed out the meet with a school record in the 4x400 relay, as Margaret Wehner (63.52), Lucas (62.31), Manning (60.78), and Clement (59.54) teamed up for a time of 4:06.05, good for 16th place (video).

The Blue return to action next weekend, March 11 and 12, when Clement and teammate Randelle Boots compete at the NCAA D-III Indoor Track Championships at Capital University in Columbus, OH.  Clement, who will be one of the favorites in the 800m, has the second fastest time of the season in D-III, clocking a 2:10.18 last week at the New England Regional Championships.  Boots, who will run the mile, will enter the meet as a favorite as well, with nation-leading time of 4:49.22.
