Goydan Earns All-America Honors at NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Wellesley College sophomore diver Hayley Goydan earned honorable mention All-America honors on day two of the 2012 NCAA Championships at the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Goydan, competing in her first NCAA Championship, finished in 10th place overall on the 1-meter board with 407.55 total points. After the preliminaries, she had 384.15 points, narrowly missing a spot in the championship final. The All-America honor is the first of her career for Goydan, and the first for second-year diving coach, Aaron Paradis

Also competing for the Blue, sophomore Keelin Nave has two events in the books in her first appearance at the national meet. Nave swam the 500-free yesterday, clocking a time of 5:07.83. In today's 100-fly, she recorded a time of 57.73.

Nave will compete tomorrow in the 200-fly, the first event of the 10:00am session. Goydan is back in action on the 3-meter board, competing in the preliminaries after the 10:00am swimming session on Saturday.
