NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Wellesley College's Randelle Boots has qualified to the finals of the mile run at the 2013 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.
The senior ran a time of 4:56.43 in the second heat of the preliminaries, which was fast enough to qualify to Saturday's finals. Boots ranked sixth in her heat, and will be the 10th-seeded athlete in the finals.
Boots is gunning for her fourth-straight All-America honor in the mile. She won the event in 2011 and has earned All-America honors in each of her last three seasons of indoor track.
