Boots Places 10th in Mile at NCAA Championships

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Wellesley College senior Randelle Boots closed out her collegiate indoor career on Saturday at the 2013 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships. 

Boots placed 10th overall in the mile, turning in a time of 5:04.49. She now owns four, top-10 national finishes in the mile, qualifying for the NCAA indoor meet in each of her four seasons in blue. Boots won the event in 2011, becoming Wellesley's second national champion in any sport, she also ranked 3rd (2010) and seventh (2012), with three total All-American finishes. 

Boots and the Wellesley Track and Field team will now look ahead to the start of the outdoor season. The Blue will open a full slate of events with the Mount Holyoke Spring Fling Invitational on March 30th.
