WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Senior Helen Andersen (Madison, N.J.) finished 17th overall in the Hammer on Friday afternoon at the New England Division III Championships, hosted by Williams College.

Andersen registered a toss of 39.22m on her final attempt to place 17th. Andersen will return on Saturday to compete in the shot put. In the prelims of the 100m Hurdles, NEWMAC Champion Cathy Chen (Parsippany, N.J.) finished fifth in her heat and 12th overall in 15.60 seconds. Unfortunately, Chen did not advance to Saturday's final in the event. Sophomore Rachel Berets (Belmont, Mass.) was 30th overall and also did not advance to Saturday's final. 

Also competing on Friday, senior Catherine Xie (Newton, Mass.) was 14th in the 10,000m. Xie finished the race in 42:50.57.
