WATERVILLE, Maine –  Senior Ari Marks (Eagle Point, Ore.) took first place in the women's 5000 meter run at the New England Division III Championships hosted by Colby College.

Marks finished with a time of 16:41.29 and finished nearly 29 seconds quicker than second place finisher Izzi Gengaro (Boonton Township, N.J.) of MIT who clocked in at 17:10.83. The time set by Marks broke the facility record of 18:34.30 set by Abby Muller (Concord, Mass.) earlier this month.

Marks will be joined by Claire Anderson (Denver, Colo.), Maya Bradbury (Freeport, Maine), and Ellie Murphy-Weise (San Francisco, Calif.) in the 3k tomorrow at 1:50 PM.
