BOSTON, Mass. - Senior Claire Anderson (Denver, Colo.) and first Ella Whinney (Madison, Wis.) represented Wellesley College track and field at the John Thomas Terrier Classic at Boston University on Saturday.

Competing against fierce Division I competition and professional running clubs, Whinney broke her personal record for the mile by over ten seconds, running a 5:12.11 to finish 75th against many of the country's best runners.

Anderson went on to set a PR in the 3000 meter race with a time of 10:15.66, over six seconds faster than the previous best, and good for a 77th place finish.

Wellesley track and field is off to Tufts for a 10:00 AM race in the Tufts Cupid Challenge next Saturday.
