BREWSTER, Mass. – Wellesley College golf finished second out of 11 competing teams at the eighth annual New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship.
Wellesley posted a two-day score of 636 (320, 316) to place 22 strokes behind the first place team from Babson (614).
Sophomore
Kaurvaki Bajpai (Chantilly, Va.) was the top Blue finisher with a weekend total of 151 after rounds of 74 and 77. Bajpai placed third out of 58 golfers.
First-year
Sophie Lim (Boston, Mass.) (79, 81) and sophomore
Sophia Lewis (Ventura, Calif.) (84, 76) each carded a 160 to finish t-7th at the Captains Golf Course.
Sophomore
Grace Sun (San Diego, Calif.) finished in 12th place with a two-round score of 165 (83, 82).
Sophomore
Maria Li (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) rounded out the Blue competitors. Li posted a combined score of 167 (84, 83) to place t-13th.
The fall portion of the 2024-25 slate has concluded. The Blue will resume tournament action in the spring.
