WATERVILLE, Maine – Wellesley College swimming & diving first year Jaya Magavi (West Hartford, Conn.) placed ninth out of 31 competitors in the 1-Meter Diving event at the NCAA Division III Diving Regionals. This year's Diving Regionals are being held at Colby College's Harold Alfond Athletics and Recreation Center. 

Magavi scored 394.90 points from her 11-dive list on the 1-meter board. Amherst College junior Sydney Bluestein (Columbia, S.C.) captured first in the event with a score of 454.55.

Magavi will compete in the 3-Meter Diving event tomorrow at 12:00 PM. Qualifiers for the 2024 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, March 20-23, at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C. will be announced following Saturday's competition.
