BOSTON, Mass. – Wellesley College track & field juniors Claire Peng (Chapel Hill, N.C.) and Emily Brydges (Suffield, Conn.) competed at the New England DIII Championships on Friday. The event is taking place at the TRACK at New Balance.

In the 1000m, Peng crossed the finish line at 3:08.55. The time was a personal-best for the junior, who finished third out of 10 in her heat and 15th out of 30 overall individuals in the event.

Brydges captured 20th in the 5000m, coming in at 18:50.94.

Seniors Charlie Barron (Chattanooga, Tenn.) and Erin Dickinson (Papillion, Neb.) will be competing on day two of the New England DIII Championships tomorrow.
