SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Wellesley College golf placed fourth out of 13 teams at the one-day Jack Leaman Invitational on Sunday at the Par 72 Orchards Golf Club.
New York University won the team event with a final score of 296 (+8). Amherst College followed behind with a 306, while Williams College (309), the Blue (311) and Wesleyan University (321) rounded out the top five.
Sophomores Audrey Wang (Fremont, Calif.) and Sarah Yeh (Danville, Calif.) tied for the top finish for Wellesley, each carding a 77 (+5) and coming in 11th place overall.
Classmate Aileen Du (Auckland, New Zealand) tied for 17th by putting up a 78 (+6). First-year Savannah Boyd (Shanghai, China) was only a stroke behind Du at 79 (+7).
 First-year Sophie Lim (Boston, Mass.) shot an 83 (+11) on the day.
Sophomore Sophia Lewis (Ventura, Calif.) played as an individual and hit a 79 (+7).
Up next, the Blue compete at the Williams Invitational on April 19-20.
