WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Wellesley College golf is tied for second after one round of the two-day Williams Spring Invitational at the Par 71 Taconic G.C.
Sophomore Sarah Yeh (Danville, Calif.) posted a team best one over par (72) with three birdies and four bogeys. Yeh sits in a tie atop the 60-player field.Â
Classmate Audrey Wang (Fremont, Calif.) opened the day with a birdie and finished three over par after 18 holes (74) and is currently tied for fifth. Sophomore Aileen Du (Auckland, New Zealand) was only a shot behind Wang with a 75 on the 5,826-yard layout.
Sophomore Grace Sun (San Diego, Calif.) and first-year Savannah Boyd (Shanghai, China) rounded out the team scoring, each carding an 82 (+11).
First-year Grace Yuan (Beijing, China) came away with 78, while sophomore Kaurvaki Bajpai (Chantilly, Va.) finished with an 80 as individual scorers.Â
Day two of competition is tomorrow, with the Blue starting at 11:10 AM.
