BOSTON, Mass. – Wellesley College track & field seniors Emily Brydges (Suffield, Conn.) and Ella Whinney (Madison, Wis.) raced at Boston University's John Thomas Terrier Classic on Friday.
Whinney came in 69th out of 183 total runners with a 5:04.47 that earned a New England DIII Championship cut. Whinney was less than four seconds off of a personal-best time and the time currently ranks 43rd in Division III this year.
Brydges also had a 69th place finish, this time in the 5000m. Brydges' 18:16.12 time earns a New England DIII Championship mark, and is currently the No. 68 time in Division III this year.
The team will be competing tomorrow at the Harvard Invitational.
