CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Wellesley College track & field faced off against tough Division I, II and III competition at the Harvard Invitational on Saturday.

First-year Sophia Wang (Livingston, N.J.) tied for fifth out of 25 competitors in the High Jump, reaching 1.55m. Wang later finished 16th in Triple Jump, reaching 10.26m. 

Sophomore Ellie Wolf (Irvine, Calif.) tied a PR in the 60m at 8.30. Wolf later ran a 26.80 in the 200m and earned a New England DIII Championship cut alongside senior Sara Maeve Klingensmith (26.92).

Senior Claire Peng (Chapel Hill, N.C.) claimed 14th out of 56 in the 3000m with a time of 10:39.06 that earned a New England DIII Championship cut. Senior Elise Lanahan (Greenville, S.C.) took 30th at 11:04.92 and junior Perry Huang Kemper (Boise, Idaho) placed 33rd at 11:15.81.

The Mile event saw first-year Zoë Cort (San Francisco, Calif.) put up a 5:37.19 time. Sophomore Helen Yang (Woodland Hills, Calif.) finished the race in 5:48.95.

In the Weight Throw's competition, Senior Kenya Francis (Atlanta, Ga.) recorded a 12.36m throw and sophomore Maggie Berlinger (Ashby, Mass.) hit a 11.33m mark.

Sophomore Leeya Rice (Closter, N.J.) was in the top-half of all 800m runners, taking 27th with a 2:30.32 time.

In the 1000m competition,  first-year Sophia Trabuco (Rochester, Minn.) registered a 3:11.53 time. Sophomore Leah Willis (Mercersburg, Pa.) finished the race in 3:14.98.

First-year Avery Lieb (Ojai, Calif.) ran a 19:24.73 in the 5000m race to finish 16th.

Sophomore Abigail Choi (Fair Lawn, N.J.) (4.63m,) first-year Shriya Kundranda (Scottsdale, Ariz.) (4.27m), senior Dova Koretsky (Pepperell, Mass.) (4.21m) all competed in the Long Jump competition.

First-year Madalena Ritz-Meuret (Dallas, Texas) clocked in at 1:04.27 in the 400m dash and claimed 40th place.

Wellesley will compete on Saturday, February 14 with some team members at Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invitational and some at Bowdoin College's Lynn Ruddy Invitational.
