CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Wellesley College crew tied a team-best finish by having its "A" boat finish second amongst 29 boats in the Women's Collegiate Eights race at the annual Head Of The Charles Regatta on Sunday.

The Wellesley "A" boat raced out of Bow 6, and trailed only Tufts University for the entire race. The Blue had a sparkling time of 16:48.219, sitting in second at the Riverside, Weld and CBC points of the event. The "A" boat finished over four seconds ahead of third place Middlebury College.

Blue Crew's "B" boat competed out of bow 17 and came in 20th place, ahead of NEWMAC foes Smith College and WPI's "B" sculls. The official time for Wellesley was 17:56.538.

Up next, the Blue will wrap up the fall season at Wormtown Chase on Saturday, October 24.
