SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Wellesley College track & field competed in a trio of events at the New England DIII Championships on Friday.

Senior Elise Lanahan (Greenville, S.C.) had a standout performance, earning third out of 20 runners in the 10000m, breaking the 40-minute mark with a time of 39:49.05. 

First-year Zoë Cort (San Francisco, Calif.) ran an 18:53.87 in the 5000m, placing 16th.

In the Hammer Throw, senior Kenya Francis (Atlanta, Ga.) came in 22nd place, throwing 39.95m.

Competition continues tomorrow, beginning with High Jump at 11:00 AM.
