WELLESLEY, Mass. – No. 5 Wellesley College crew will be competing at the 2026 NCAA Division III Championships on May 29-30 at Lake Lanier Olympic Park in Gainesville, Ga. The event will be hosted by Lake Lanier Olympic Park and University of North Georgia.
Wellesley received an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship regatta after winning the NEWMAC Championship. Blue Crew won the Varsity Eight race and took second in the Second, Third and Fourth Varsity events. 2026 will mark the 14th time in program history that Wellesley has competed in the National Championship. The team won the title in 2016, 2022 and 2023.
For the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Rowing Championships will be composed of eight teams. Each team is required to field two boats of eight rowers and a coxswain.
Wellesley will be competing with Bates College, Catholic University, Trinity College, Tufts University, University of Puget Sound, William Smith College and Williams College. The opening heats will take place on Friday, May 29. The finals will be held on Saturday, May 30.
