WORCESTER, Mass. – No. 5 Wellesley College crew raced at the New England Rowing Championships at Lake Quinsigamond on Saturday.
The Blue claimed third amongst six boats in the opening round, coming across the finish line at 7:11.408 and making the Petite Final. The Petite Final saw Wellesley end up in third out of sixth, registering a sub-7 minute mark of 6:58.008.
In the Second Varsity competition, Wellesley came in third out of six boats with a time of 7:19.004, earning a spot in the afternoon's Petite Final. The Blue took bronze in the Petite Final, putting together a 7:09.299 performance.
The Third Varsity Eight boat came in second out of four in its initial round, trailing only Williams. Blue Crew clocked in at 7:28.748 and moved on to the Grand Final. Wellesley finished fifth with a 7:18.732 time in the Grand Final.
Blue Crew's Varsity Four boat took second out of six in its race, hitting the final buoys at 9:47.000.
Up next, the Blue return to Lake Quinsigamond for the National Invitational Rowing Championships on Sunday, May 10.
