Sona (Tipnis) Schuermann ’90 lives in Dover, MA with her husband, Jim. They have two sons Max and Dean, ages 26 and 23. At Wellesley, Sona was a three-year member of the tennis team. She majored in Architecture. After college, Sona lived in San Francisco and worked in fashion design as an accessories designer. She currently runs a charitable organization, Project SixLove, which she started in 2020 with four friends. Project SixLove hosts racquet sport events to raise funds for New England based youth mental health organizations. Sona is also a mentor to a first-generation college student through Anaya Scholars. Sona continues to enjoy competitive tennis, playing in leagues and spectating at professional tennis tournaments whenever possible. She also enjoys pickleball, paddle, running, and hiking.
