2025-26 Swimming and Diving Roster
Biography
2025-26:
- Made collegiate debut by taking sixth in the 200 Back (2:18.93) at Wheaton
- Earned bronze in the 100 Back (1:01.73) and 200 Back (2:16.92) against Simmons and Merrimack
- Took third in the 100 Back (1:02.59) at Mount Holyoke
- Claimed eighth in the “B” finals of the 100 Back (1:00.27) and eighth in the “C” finals of the 200 Back (2:15.47) at the MIT Winter Invite
- Placed fourth in the 100 Back (1:02.25) and fifth in the 50 Free (26.78) at the Wellesley Invitational
- Finished 11th in the 100 Back (59.78), 12th in the 200 Back (2:13.02) and 36th in the 50 Free (26.32) at the NEWMAC Championships
Before Wellesley:
- Attended ‘Iolani School, graduated in 2025
- Single-sport athlete in swimming
- Helped bring the ‘Iolani Girls Swim Team to State Championships all four years of high-school 2022-2025
Personal:
- Born in Honolulu, Hawaii
- Has one sister
- Is a national advocate for the Epilepsy Foundation of America, constantly sharing her personal story with epilepsy and how epilepsy doesn’t hold you back from your goals/dreams
Why Wellesley:
- Chose to attend Wellesley because it had a special community that Sophia couldn’t find anywhere else. Sophia knew that at Wellesley, she could pursue her dream of becoming a neurologist with the best possible support and resources
