Shannah Dalton, MA, ATC, LAT was named Wellesley College's Director of Sports Medicine and Well-being in September 2022.
Dalton comes to Wellesley from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), where she had been the Associate Head Athletic Trainer since 2019. While at WPI, Dalton oversaw the management of the athletic training room, implemented athletic training that met PERA department policies, organized and managed COVID-19 protocols and policies within the WPI Athletic community, and was a physical education instructor.
Additionally, Dalton worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer/ Physical Education from 2015-2019 at WPI. Before joining the Engineers, Dalton worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for Adelphi University in Garden City, N.Y. from 2011-2015. Dalton also worked at Adelphi as a Graduate Assistant from 2009-2011.
Dalton received a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Sciences’ Degree with a Concentration in Athletic Training from Colby-Sawyer College in New London, N.H. She went on to earn her Master’s of Arts with a Concentration in Health Education from Adelphi University while working as a Graduate Assistant.
