Sydney Leeds, MSAT, LAT, ATC joined Wellesley College as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in August 2023.
Leeds comes to Wellesley after recently working as a Student Athletic Trainer at Harvard University, where she utilized athletic training based-knowledge and skills while working with the crew teams. Prior to Harvard, Leeds performed a full, ten-week immersion clinical rotation alongside Tuft University's Sports Medicine professionals while supporting the Jumbos' football team. She previously worked as a Student Athletic Trainer at Merrimack College and Andover High School.
During the summer of 2022, Leeds was a Rehabilitation Aide at Select Physical Therapy in Stamford, Conn. where she worked with the Doctor of Physical Therapy to help carry out individualized plans of care to promote healing and recovery across a diverse patient population. In 2019, Leeds helped out at the European Lacrosse Games in Netanya, Israel as an Athletic Training Intern.
Outside of work, Leeds has volunteered at Team IMPACT, a program that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college sports teams, creating a long-term, life-changing experience for everyone involved. Leeds also served as a Player-Ambassador for Israel Lacrosse from 2016-17, a role that saw her introduce the game to young athletes while simultaneously competing against the country's top players.
A 2022 graduate of Merrimack College with a degree in Exercise Science, Leeds recently received her Master of Science in Athletic Training from Merrimack. Leeds played Division I lacrosse at Merrimack, competing in 15 games for the Warriors during her career.
