MILTON, Mass. – Defense reigned supreme on Wednesday afternoon as Wellesley College soccer and Curry played to a scoreless tie in a non-conference game at Walter M. Katz Field.

Sophomores goalies Sascha Fleesler (New York, N.Y.)  and Riley McNair (Cupertino, Calif.) combined for eight saves for the Blue (2-3-1 Overall, 1-1 NEWMAC).

Junior Hannah Correa (Carver, Mass.) and sophomore Lexi Smardon (Scotland, Conn.) stopped three shots in goal for the Colonels (1-4-4 Overall).

Curry outshot Wellesley 18-7 and the Colonels took nine corner kicks while the Blue attempted two.

Both teams play on Saturday, September 30, with the Blue going to Babson for a 1:00 PM NEWMAC match and the Colonels traveling to Nichols at 11:00 AM.
