WELLESLEY, Mass. – Bethany Ellis, Director of Athletics and Chair of the Department of Physical Education, Recreation and Athletics (PERA) at Wellesley College has announced the hiring of Greg Margolis as Head Soccer Coach and PERA Assistant Professor of the Practice.

"We are happy to announce the addition of Greg to the Wellesley community," said Ellis. "His vast soccer experience and desire to mentor student-athletes will be great assets to the department. We are excited to see where he can take the program."

Margolis will join Wellesley after spending the previous four seasons at the helm of the Buffalo State women's soccer program. Under Margolis' direction, the program saw improvement in overall record and conference record in each season, culminating with an appearance in the SUNYAC playoffs in 2024.

"I am ecstatic to take on this role and lead this team into the 2025 season and beyond," said Margolis. "There is an excellent group here, who are committed to their craft on and off the field, and a foundation to build on to make some noise in the NEWMAC! I want to thank Bethany Ellis, Provost Courtney Coile, and the search committee for entrusting me with this role. Throughout the process, I could feel how Wellesley is a special place and community. Being able to contribute in all areas at this prestigious institution is a dream come true and I can't wait to get started! Let's Go Blue!"

Prior to Buffalo State, Margolis served as the head coach of both the women's and men's soccer programs at Elmira College during the 2020-21 season.
