WELLESLEY, Mass. -- 11 members of Wellesley College fencing have been recognized as Northeast Fencing Conference (NFC) Academic All-Conference recipients. Additionally, the Blue earned the Academic All-Conference Team award.
Seniors Makana Burch (Portland, Ore.) and Mia Chao (Washington, D.C.) each made a third trip to the NFC Academic All-Conference team. Juniors Gina Huang (Taipei, Taiwan), Claire Ma (Boston, Mass.), Lily Millard (Selkirk, N.Y.) and Naomi Wang (Boston, Mass.) all picked up the award for the second time. Sophomores Rebecca Hsieh (Annadale, Va.), Lauren Khoo (San Francisco, Calif.), Alisha Li (Warren, N.J.), Phoebe Li (Palo Alto, Calif.) and Riley Weed (Guilford, Conn.) have each earned the recognition in their first year of eligibility.

Founded in 1992, the Northeast Fencing Conference's mission is to support intercollegiate fencing in and around New England. The league organizes a round-robin schedule of dual meet competitions for the fencing programs at all member institutions. The member institutions are a mix of both NCAA varsity programs and student-organized club programs.
