CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Wellesley College track & field juniors Simone Beauchamp (Aurora, Colo.) and Ella Whinney (Madison, Wis.) raced in the 3000m Steeplechase at the MIT Final Qualifier on Thursday.

Whinney took second in the race, clocking in at 10:49.67. Her 10:45.61 time from last weekend's NEICAAA Outdoor Championship run currently ranks No. 18 in NCAA Division III.

Beauchamp set a personal-best time, breaking the 11-minute mark at 10:57.52 to take third. Beauchamp's time is No. 35 in NCAA Division III at the time of publication.

Up next, the Blue will await tomorrow's NCAA Division III Championship release to see if they will have qualifiers for the event at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio on May 22-25.
