WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Six Wellesley College student-athletes have been recognized on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large Team. Crew seniors Claire Johnson (Lexington, Mass.) and Colette Kennedy (Mill Valley, Calif.), fencing senior Makana Burch (Portland, Ore.), field hockey senior Eleanor Wenners (Rye, N.H.) and golf sophomores Audrey Wang (Fremont, Calif.) and Sarah Yeh (Danville, Calif.) have each earned the recognition.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District At-Large Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The award is given to athletes who in addition to being impactful on their respective team, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50, and have achieved second year status at their academic institution

Kennedy and Johnson both served as coxswains for Blue Crew, helping the team win the 2025 NEWMAC Rowing Championship and competing at the 2025 NCAA Division III Championships. At the championships, Kennedy coxed the Varsity Eight boat and Johnson coxed the Second Varsity Boat.

Burch earned 33 victories in dual fencing matches this season and competed at the 2025 NCAA Northeast Regional, placing 47th in sabre.

Wenners started in all 20 games for field hockey, helping the team make the NEWMAC Semifinals. Wenners recorded a pair of defensive saves and anchored the back line.

Wang and Yeh both competed for golf at the team's first NCAA Division Championship appearance, helping the Blue finish 11th. Wang and Yeh finished first and second respectively at the Liberty League Championship, with Wang taking Liberty League Performer of the Year honors.
