Colgan, Delgado, Rodriguez Make The NEWMAC Softball All-Conference Team

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – Wellesley College softball senior Andrea Delgado (Miami, Fla.) and juniors Jill Colgan (Las Vegas, Nev.) and Anisa Rodriguez (La Quinta, Calif.) have each received NEWMAC Softball All-Conference honors for their respective performances this season. Rodriguez has made the First Team All-Conference while Colgan and Delgado have both been recognized on the Second Team.

Anisa Rodriguez | Jr. | La Quinta, Calif. | NEWMAC First Team All-Conference

Rodriguez batted .333 this season with 25 hits, including six doubles, along with 12 runs scored. Behind the plate, Rodriguez was spotless with zero errors, and threw out seven runners stealing this season. 

Andrea Delgado | Sr. | Miami, Fla. | NEWMAC Second Team All-Conference

Delgado recorded 36 hits and 11 steals while batting .327. The senior started every game at shortstop and anchored the infield for the Blue this season. Delgado recorded an inside-the-park home run in Florida and drove in 16 runs this year.

Jill Colgan | Jr. | Las Vegas, Nev. | NEWMAC Second Team All-Conference

Colgan batted a team-leading .392, driving in 13 runs. In the circle, Colgan earned seven wins with a 2.42 ERA and struck out 46 batters. Colgan threw five complete games and recorded a save as well.
