WELLESLEY, Mass. – Wellesley College tennis won several matches as a unit on the second day of the Wellesley Invitational. The event is taking place at The Amy Batchelor '88, Trustee, Tennis Courts.

Sophomore Luna Bian (Buffalo Grove, Ill.) added a win with a 7-5, 6-2 scoreline against sophomore Emelyn Harris (Indianapolis, Ind.).

Junior Nandini Patel (Phoenix, Ariz.) handled Bates' Lia Swire (Sudbury, Mass.) with ease, taking a 6-2, 6-1 match.

Classmate Sophie Buttorff (Tacoma, Wash.) won 6-3, 6-4 in a match with Bates' Jasleen Chohan (Redwood City, Calif.).

First-year Kakou Narita (Tokyo, Japan) made the most of a singles debut, shutting down Bates' Francesca Rodriguez (Limu, Peru), 6-1, 6-1.

Senior Veda Madhusudan (Short Hills, N.J.) kept the trend of straight-set wins going, earning a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Bates' Hannah Farber (Easton, Mass.).

First-year Sophia Liang (Ann Arbor, Mich.) got the best of a three-set contest with Bates' Avni Bakre (London, England), 6-1, 1-6, 1-0(7).

Classmate Zoe Li (Boca Raton, Fla.) topped Brandeis' Laura Tasias (New Rochelle, N.Y.), 6-2, 6-2.

In doubles, Bian and senior Suzanne Xu (Boyds, Md.) teamed up for a 6-2 triumph versus Brandeis.

Patel and Buttorff went to a tiebreaker with the Judges, coming away with a 7-6(4) win for their efforts.

Sophomore Praslin Hayes (Robbinsville, N.J.) and Liang took down Brandeis with a 6-3 set.

Madhusudan and Li won a back-and-forth match with Brandeis, 7-5.

In the final match of the day, senior Kriti Sarav (Chicago, Ill.) won a 6-2 set versus Brandeis.
