Box Score WELLESLEY, Mass. – Wellesley College tennis wrapped up its annual Wellesley Invitational inside the Dorothy Towne Fieldhouse on a rainy Sunday.
Junior Sophie Buttorff (Tacoma, Wash.) was victorious in a competitive 8-6 pro-set over Babson senior Dana Kamal (Cairo, Egypt).Â
Senior Lily Cade (Minneapolis, Minn.) fought hard with Babson, taking four games in an 8-4 match.
Senior Veda Madhusudan (Short Hills, N.J.) and sophomore Luna Bian (Buffalo Grove, Ill.) each won three games of their matches with Babson.
Senior Suzanne Xu (Boyds, Md.), juniors Sofia Corte-Real (Stamford, Conn.) and Nandini Patel (Phoenix, Ariz.) and first-years Kakou Narita (Tokyo, Japan) and Sophia Liang (Ann Arbor, Mich.) all grabbed two games against Babson.
Next up, the Blue will host Emerson College in a NEWMAC match at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 19.
