Box Score WELLESLEY, Mass. – Holly Davis scored six times to lead the Endicott College women's lacrosse team to a 16-3 victory over Wellesley on Wednesday afternoon. The game was played in a steady mix of sleet, snow and freezing rain on the Wellesley campus.
 The win gives the Gulls a 1-0 start to their season, while the Blue even their mark to 1-1 with the loss.
 Davis connected on three goals in each half, while also tallying a second-period assist to lead a potent Endicott attack. Rachel Campos tallied a hat trick, while Callie Murphy and Kelly Tierney each scored twice in the win. Rounding out the Gulls' offense, Isabelle Sipperly picked up a goal and two helpers.
 Wellesley's offense was limited to two goals from Meagan Fuchs and a score from Allison Robbins. Claire Canty added an assist for the Blue, who were out-shot 35-9 in the contest.
 Endicott scored early and often, including the first six goals of the game. Davis scored three-straight during the stretch to spark the Gulls offense. Wellesley broke through on the scoreboard with 6:52 to play in the half, as Fuchs cut the Endicott lead to 6-1. However, the visitors, answered with a Murphy goal before the break to take a 7-1 lead.  
 The Blue seemed to gain traction early in the second half, as Fuchs notched her second score of the game at the 28:30 mark. From that point on, it was all Endicott, as the Gulls again went on a run, scoring nine of the final 10 goals in the game. Six players found the back of the net in the second half, led by Davis' three scores.
 In addition to its shot advantage, Endicott held a 13-6 edge in draw controls. The Gulls also posted a 19-9 advantage in ground balls for the game.
 Rounding out the box score for Endicott, Davis completed a fantastic all around game by adding five ground balls and four draw controls to her six scores. Lauren Todd recorded three draw controls, while Stacia Geno picked up three ground balls. Defensively, Tierney and Melissa Bulman each caused two turnovers, while Rachel Socolow picked up the win in goal, needing just three saves to do so.
 For Wellesley, Meredith Roy recorded a game-high five draw controls, while Alyssa Andres recorded two caused turnovers and two ground balls. In goal for the Blue, Tori Hysko suffered the loss, posting 12 saves.
 Wellesley is back in action at home on Saturday, hosting Lasell at 12:00pm. Endicott will next entertain Southern Maine on Saturday, in the team's home opener.
