BRUNSWICK, Maine -- Wellesley College tennis had a busy weekend at the annual Bowdoin Invitational, as members of the Blue matched up with players from Skidmore College, Tufts University, Bates College and host Bowdoin College in a three-day round robin style event.
On Friday, the Blue went a combined 1-7 in singles play and 1-6 in doubles play before rebounding to go 7-3 in singles and 7-5 overall on Saturday. Wellesley then wrapped up the weekend by going a combined 3-3 on Sunday. Complete Wellesley results can be found below.
The Blue will return home to host Springfield College in the Quarterfinals of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) tournament on Wednesday, October 21, at 5:00 PM. The winner of Wednesday's match will advance to play Babson in the NEWMAC semifinals on Saturday, October 24, at MIT.
