Junior Brooke Fieldman recorded 17 kills and 31 digs (Greenwood Village, Colo.) to lead Wellesley to a 3-2 victory over Endicott. The junior outside hitter finished as one of four Wellesley players with double-digit digs, as first year Samantha Hoang (Elk Grove, Calif.) added 25 and sophomores Katie Yan (Cohoes, N.Y.) and Maddie Koh (Seattle, Wash.) added 16 and 10, respectively. First years Elise Griffin (Los Altos Hills, Calif.) and Samantha Ostenso (Hopkins, Minn.) also added nine and eight kills apiece for the Blue, while first year setter Michelle Li (Scarsdale, N.Y.) dished out a team-high 32 assists.

The Gulls jumped out to a two set advantage thanks to a commanding 25-15 victory in the opening set and a 25-17 victory in the second set. The Blue fought back in the third and fourth sets, first earning a 25-19 victory before forcing the fifth and deciding set with a 25-21 victory in the fourth set. The teams played well past the 15 point plateau in the fifth game, but in the end the Blue were able to outscore the Gulls, earning the 19-17 victory and taking the match 3-2.

Edgewood 3, Wellesley 1 (21-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-15)
