BABSON PARK, Mass. – Wellesley College soccer dropped a 3-0 decision to NEWMAC rival Babson College at Hartwell-Rogers Field on Wednesday afternoon. 
Babson (8-3-5 Overall, 7-2-1 NEWMAC) jumped on the board at the 15:30 mark of the first half. A corner kick from sophomore Josie Lee (Duxbury, Mass.) led to a header from junior Caroline Sutherland (Millville, Mass.) that redirected into the upper right corner of the goal.
Sutherland struck again with a mere 18 seconds left in the opening half. Senior Meredith Greeley (Ottawa Hills, Ohio).
Lee added a goal to her impressive day for the Beavers in the 61st minute. Lee weaved through the defense and tapped the ball past McNair in a scramble to give Babson a third unanswered score.
Senior Riley McNair (Cupertino, Calif.) finished the game with four saves for the Blue (6-8-3 Overall, 3-5-2 NEWMAC). First-year Maisie Creamer (Boulder, Colo.) stopped two shots without allowing a goal.
Both teams will finish up the regular season at home on Saturday, November 1. Wellesley takes on Mount Holyoke College while Babson faces off with Emerson College.
