MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – Wellesley College swimming & diving Head Coach Dawn Dill and Assistant Swimming Coach Katie Gould have been named the 2026 NEWMAC Women's Swimming & Diving Swim Staff of the Year. This marks Dill's fourth career Coach of the Year honor, having previously won in 2006, 2009 and 2010 while coaching at MIT.
Dill and Gould helped the Blue earn third at the recent NEWMAC Championships. The result was Wellesley's best in a decade. The pair will be coaching seniors Kavita Sekhon (Los Angeles, Calif.), Tracey Liu (Princeton, N.J.) and first-years Lucy Choe (Ellicott City, Md.) and Alexis Kung (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.) at the upcoming NCAA DIII Championships in Indianapolis, Ind. from March 18-21.
The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) consists of 12 highly selective institutions committed to academic excellence: Babson College, Clark University, U.S Coast Guard Academy, Emerson College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mount Holyoke College, Salve Regina University, Smith College, Springfield College, Wellesley College, Wheaton College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
