ROME, N.Y. – No. 14 Wellesley College golf claimed second place at the 2026 Liberty League Championship.
The Blue were one shot better than yesterday for a 301 (+17) and a two-day total of 603 (+35). No. 2 NYU won the title with a total of 582 (+14) after rounds of 287 (+3) and 295 (+11). Ithaca finished third (651, +83), while Union placed fourth (670, +102). St. Lawrence (733, +165), Vassar (757, +189) and William Smith (868, +300) rounded out the field.
The teams were met with unseasonably cold conditions on the final day, which pushed back the start of the round by an hour, at the par-71 Teugega Country Club designed by Donald Ross.
Junior
Sophia Lewis (Ventura, Calif.) posted a 75 (+4) for the second straight day to finish the tournament +8. Lewis placed sixth overall out of 32 players to earn a spot on the All-Liberty League Second Team.
Sophomore
Savannah Boyd (Shanghai, China) finished in seventh for the tournament with a two-round total of +9 to earn a nod to the All-Liberty League Second Team. Boyd came away with 39s on both sides today for a 78 (+7).
Junior
Sarah Yeh (Danville, Calif.) and first-year
Jessica Li (Temecula, Calif.) each shot 75 (+4) in the final round and finished +10 for the tournament. Yeh carded four birdies, while Li had two which opened and ended her round. The tandem finished in a tie for eighth to earn All-Liberty League Second Team honors.
Junior
Kaurvaki Bajpai (Chantilly, Va.) finished in 11th place to earn All-Liberty League Honorable Mention accolades. Bajpai had a 5-over 76 today with three birdies.
