LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Wellesley College volleyball has earned the 2026 American Volleyball Coaches Association (USMC/AVCA) Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT, recognizing the team for the 2025-26 academic year.
2026 marks the seventh consecutive year that Coach Dorothy Webb's squad has received the honor. The team registered a 3.61 year-long GPA.
In addition, the squad earned the distinction of Team Academic Honor Roll for being in the top 20% of GPAs in Division III.Â
Volleyball programs from across the country continue to enjoy widespread success off the court as 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball teams earned the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award by maintaining a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale).
The AVCA, an educationally based nonprofit headquartered in Lexington, KY, is the largest and most diverse volleyball coaches' association in the world. With a broad mandate to develop the sport, the AVCA provides leadership, recognition, advocacy, and professional development opportunities to over 8,000 volleyball coaches. Members include college, high school, club, and youth coaches, and well as a wide variety of product and service providers.
