WELLSLEY, Mass. – Dawn Dill, Head Swimming & Diving Coach and PERA Assistant Professor of the Practice, has announced the hiring of Hillary Kavanagh as assistant coach of the Wellesley College swimming & diving team.

Kavanagh joins the Blue after serving as the Head Coach for the Girls Swimming & Diving program and Assistant Coach for the Boys Swimming & Diving and Water Polo programs at Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass. Kavanagh also served as an AAU Coach for Team New England from 2019-23, training experienced swimmers for national level competition at the AAU Junior Olympics each summer.

Additionally, Kavanagh is the Founder and Head Swim Instructor of Backyard Bubbles, teaching private and group lessons to students of all ages. She has also worked as a Swim Coach at the Thoreau Club in Concord, Mass.
