WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Wellesley College golf finished tied for fourth out of a 15-team field at the very competitive Williams Fall Invitational.

The Blue, along with Babson and Trinity (CT), finished with a two-round total of 624 (+56). Middlebury won the tournament with a 598 (+30) and edged out host Williams (599, +31) by one shot. Amherst (611, +43) was in third place. 

Senior Sophia Lewis (Ventura, Calif.) paced Wellesley with a 76 in round two. After a bogey on the tough par-4 7th hole to begin the round, Lewis rattled off nine-straight pars and was even on the back-9. Lewis placed t-21st out of 74 players. 

Senior Audrey Wang (Fremont, Calif.) posted a 77 with a pair of birdies on the back. Wang was t-25th for the tournament. 

Senior Sarah Yeh (Danville, Calif.) tied Lewis in 21st place by carding a 79 today after a 76 on Saturday. 

First-year Caris Lee (Los Angeles, Calif.) shot back-to-back 79s and finished tied for 30th. 

Sophomore Jessica Li (Temecula, Calif.) rounded out the lineup on Sunday with an 83 to finish t-38th. 

The Blue will conclude the fall portion of the schedule next weekend at the Wesleyan Invitational.
