WELLESLEY, Mass. – Led by a tournament best 68 by sophomore Jessica Li (Temecula, Calif.), the Wellesley College golf team won the 2026 Ann S. Batchelder Tri-Match on Saturday at Nehoiden Golf Club with Babson College and Saint Anselm College. 

The Blue posted a team score of 301 (+13), while Babson finished with 317 (+29) and Saint Anselm had a 359 (+71).  

Li earned individual champion honors besting the 28-player field with the 68. Li came away with six birdies to take the top spot by six shots. 

Senior Sophia Lewis (Ventura, Calif.) was in second place overall with a solid 74. After going out in 38, Lewis shot 36 coming in thanks to three birdies.

First-year Caris Lee (Los Angeles, Calif.) registered a 39 on both sides to post a 78 and finish t-7th in her collegiate debut. 

First-year Michelle Su (Clermont, Fla.) and senior Audrey Wang (Fremont, Calif.) rounded out the lineup each with an 81 to tie for 12th overall. 

Wellesley had a second team compete and they posted a score of 316 (+28). That squad was led by first-year Madison Soong (Chino Hills, Calif.) who shot a 75, which included three birdies in the opening six holes, to place t-3rd. Senior Sarah Yeh (Danville, Calif.) was one shot behind with a 76 to finish sixth overall. Senior Kaurvaki Bajpai (Chantilly, Va.) carded an 81 to tie for 12th. First-year Alice Chen (Shanghai, China) and senior Grace Sun (San Diego, Calif.) each finished with an 84 to tie for 16th place. 

Sophomores Kate Lee (Lake Oswego, Ore.) and Allyson Duan (Buffalo Grove, Ill.) competed as individuals. Lee was tied for third overall with a 3-over 75, while Duan shot an 86 to place 19th. 

The Blue will compete at the Polar Bear Shootout on September 12-13. The tournament will be hosted by Bowdoin College at the Brunswick Golf Club.
