Group Fitness Classes

Wellesley College Recreation group fitness classes are offered as a way to promote a sense of community, relieve stress, tone muscles, and provide a renewed sense of well-being. Our classes are taught by your very own Wellesley College peers who have received certification as well as CPR/First Aid training. No sign ups or previous experience required!

Class Descriptions

Kickboxing
Unleash your power and boost your endurance with our high-energy Kickboxing class! This full-body workout combines cardio, strength training, and martial arts-inspired moves to torch calories, tone muscles, and build confidence. Perfect for all fitness levels, you'll punch, kick, and sweat your way through fast-paced combos set to motivating music. Get ready to relieve stress, improve coordination, and leave feeling empowered!

Morning Mobility
Start your day right with our Morning Mobility class — a gentle, energizing session focused on improving flexibility, joint health, and functional movement. Through dynamic stretches, controlled movements, and breathwork, you’ll wake up your body, release tension, and enhance range of motion. Perfect for all fitness levels, this class sets the tone for a focused, pain-free day ahead. Move better, feel better, live better — all before breakfast!

Pilates/Yoga Fusion
Find your balance with our Pilates/Yoga Fusion class — the perfect blend of strength, flexibility, and mindfulness. This class combines the core-toning and posture-enhancing benefits of Pilates with the flow, stretch, and relaxation of yoga. You'll build lean muscle, improve mobility, and reduce stress in a low-impact, energizing workout suitable for all fitness levels. Reconnect your mind and body while leaving class feeling strong, centered, and refreshed.

Spinning
A fusion of outdoor riding techniques transferred to the Indoor Cycle for a unique, user-friendly ride that will give you a great cardio workout. Feel your energy surge with this fun, high-powered cycling class including drills, hills and sprints.

Strength Training
A strength training class targeting major muscle groups using various equipment, free weights, and body weight with dynamic stretching before and after. This total body strength class incorporates bursts of cardio into movements intended to help you tone and build strength in all the major muscle groups, including – but not limited to – abs, legs, and arms.

Yoga
An energizing and rejuvenating class welcomes all levels of “yogis.” Focus on pranayama breathing with movement while creating strength and flexibility through a vinyasa flow. You will leave feeling relaxed and refreshed.
