POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- After day one of the Vassar College Invitational on the 5,847 yard, par-72 course at Dutchess Country Club, the Wellesley College golf team sits in seventh place with a score of 384.

Also competing for the Blue, Lindsey Shephardson sits in 35th place with a round of 98, Young Hsu carded a 102 to tied for 42nd and Michelle Cho shot a 103 to sit in 44th place.

Rounding out the team scoring, NYU (355) and Middlebury (361) are still in the hunt in fourth and fifth place. Ithaca (381), Wellesley, Mount Holyoke (387), St. Lawrence (387), SUNY Cortland (392), William Smith (432), and Nazareth (433) round out the field. Hamilton sent two individual competitors.
