SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. - The Wellesley College golf team sat in 11th place after one day of play at the 2012 Mount Holyoke Invitational. Day two results are not available for the 15-team event at this time and will be posted as soon as they're available. The event took place at The Orchards Golf Club (par 72 – 5,845 yards) this weekend.
After one day of play, sophomore Alexandria Lee led the team with an 83, tying her for 18th place. Junior Alexandra Fuiks was next for the blue with an 89 in 38thplace, followed by first-year Bristol Gunderson, who shot a 93, good for 53rd place overall. Classmate Lei Wei and sophomore Michelle Brann rounded out the Wellesley golfers, finishing with a 95 (64th) and a 112 (79th) respectively.
Wellesley golf returns to action next weekend at the Williams Fall Invitational on October 6th and 7th.
