WESLEY CHAPEL, FLA – Vassar College and Allegheny College are tied for the lead after a rain-soaked first day at the Wellesley College Spring Break Invitational.  The two-day tournament is being held at Lexington Oaks Golf Club, the par-72, 5,823 yard course located in Wesley Chapel, just north of Tampa, Florida.

Vassar and Allegheny both finished day one with matching scores of 365, with Wellesley sitting in third place.  Wellesley was paced by junior Lei Wei, who shot a 94.  Allegheny sophomore Alexandra Grimaldis and Vassar senior Caitlin Bell sit atop the leader board with scores of 84 and 86, respectively.

The tournament continues tomorrow morning with the second and final round beginning at 9:30am.
